6 piece equal mass metal cylinder set. Set includes copper, lead, brass, zinc, iron and aluminum. Each of the six metals in this set vary in length from 2″ to 7.5″, but have the same 100g mass, and 0.6″ (16mm) diameter. Each cylinder features a drilled hole at one end for suspension.
Excellent for physics classrooms. Density metals have a wide range of educational applications for all grade levels, including density investigation, specific heat and specific gravity exploration. Set includes a complete instruction manual that gives a background on density, specific gravity & specific heat and includes inquiry based student activities with capture sheets.

Due to the nature of raw metals, some oxidation or corrosion due to humidity and storage may occur. Simply scuff any oxidation off to make the item look brand new again. These density metals are designed to be used in an educational setting and are not fabricated using ultra high precision machining. Expect tolerances in the +/- 5% range of any stated dimensions (although they are generally much tighter).
