This unmounted Kundt’s Tube is perfect for showing the wavelength of vibrations in air in a closed tube by depositing lycopodium powder at the nodes.
The tube is approximately 33″ long, 3.5″ wide, and is made from quality glass. One end contains a tightly fitting cork piston that is adjustable and attacked to a metal rod. The other end contains a loose fitting piston attacked to a rod.
The tube is unmounted and comes with a sturdy wooden base which measures 43.25″ by 3.5″. The base has stoppers underneath to prevent slipping and sliding, and the full setup stands 3.25″ tall.
