Innovating Science diagnostic test kit is used for practicing common tests used in urinalysis, and contains simulated urine samples for realistic replication of urinalysis procedures, and safe classroom use. The kit features activities for examining urine for pH, color, and clarity, testing for the presence or absence of proteins, glucose, and calcium, and microscopically examining samples for the presence of crystals. For hands-on learning, the kit has materials for 10 groups of students, including simulated urine samples, Benedict’s qualitative, biuret reagent, Sulkowitch reagent, pH test strips, microscope slides, cover slips, graduated plastic cups, and graduated pipettes. (A hot water bath, glass test tubes, and compound microscopes (4.0X/10.0X/40.0X) are also required for performing tests, and are sold separately.) The kit has a teacher’s manual and student study guide copymasters for instructional use, and a safety data sheet (SDS) packet for product information and handling procedures. The kit is suitable for age 13 and older with adult supervision, and meets the requirements for Department of Transportation (DOT) small quantity exemption 173.4, and conforms to 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 173.4 for domestic highway or rail transport only.What’s in the Box?
